Professional training & ethical commitments

Thank you for your interest in my website as you seek to learn more about my services. All are welcome to this page. In addition to professional and clinically-sound therapeutic services derived from my graduate school training in Social Work at Temple University, postgraduate work in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Council for Relationships in Philadelphia, more than 3,000 hours of supervised clinical work with individuals, couples and families, and years as a practicing therapist, my practice is rooted in the principles of my profession’s Code of Ethics. As such, I uphold and promote the values of diversity, equity and inclusion and am committed, among other ethical and professional principles, to:

• Treating each person, regardless of circumstances and background, in a caring, professional and respectful fashion, and being mindful of and accepting of differences.
• Being sensitive to, understanding of, and accepting of diversity in race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and mental or physical ability.
• Understanding and working to reduce discrimination, oppression and other forms of social exclusion and injustice.
• Promoting conditions and actions that encourage respect for cultural and social diversity within the community and larger society, and that ensure that all people have equitable access to the resources, employment, services, and opportunities they require to meet their basic needs and to develop and express themselves fully as human beings.
