If you are looking for help with problems in your marriage or other intimate relationship, difficulties with work or career, or struggling to find purpose in life, I can help. I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than three decades of experience in the social work field. Read below about my background, my approach with couples and individuals, and how to schedule a consultation call or appointment.
I started Koppisch Psychotherapy, LLC because of my social work experience in Philadelphia for more than three decades. I saw how unaddressed trauma, unhealthy relationships, and difficulties with self-awareness and emotional expression cause problems not only for individuals and couples, but for communities and society. In my work I have seen how trauma in our history and social environment undermines our relationships. Through my practice, I help couples and individuals increase self-awareness, communicate emotions effectively, manage conflict, and live the lives they want to be living.
I help couples and individuals identify the roots of their relationship problems and life challenges, help them improve self-awareness and emotional expression, and live out their values. I draw from three decades of experience with communities, families, couples and individuals. My goal is to help people build healthy, fulfilling relationships and find meaning, purpose and balance in life.
I am a master's level, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a degree from Temple University and post-graduate training from the Council for Relationships in Philadelphia. I primarily work with couples facing challenges in communication and connection, middle-aged persons facing relationship and/or midlife issues, and other individuals seeking to understand or make changes in their lives.
I offer individual, couples and family therapy. I primarily offer in-person therapy, but on-line sessions are also available. My fees are $150 for individual sessions, and $175 for couples. Sessions are 50 minutes long. I draw mostly from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman approach. I also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
